To envision a neighborhood redevelopment plan to maximize usage of the existing square & chowks. The aim is to create Vibrant, thriving, and lively residential neighborhoods.



Strategies
Activating public spaces to achieve vibrancy and a sense of place.
Regulating the vehicular movement within the site. Comprehensive pedestrian linkages to enhance connectivity and access. Providing parking spaces within the walkable range. Addressing solid waste management.

Primary Issues Addressed
Lack of community spaces within the residential areas.
Lack of parking spaces
Unorganized Traffic flow and on-street parking on narrow streets.
Inappropriate built-forms, heights, massing.
Improper use of existing Informal Chowks.





Intervention Scope/project/proposal
Nodal attractions and anchoring public spaces to achieve vibrancy and a sense of place.
Defining Vehicular and Pedestrian streets and regulating the Vehicular movement within.
Comprehensive pedestrian linkages to enhance connectivity.
Street- and courtyard-facing residences-with entrances and windows facing pedestrian paths support neighbourhood life and improve safety.
Make activity along the street more likely and make walking more inviting- whether it is to run an errand or use transit.
Redevelopment of internal squares, streets and chowks depending upon the type and nature of settlement in order to provide a healthy safe and liveable community life in the neighbourhood.
