Bachelor’s Project
As the site is located adjacent to MDR 137, there is a heavy amount of traffic which continuously occupies the road. The location of our parcel provides us with an opportunity to create an architectural experience for even those who are not entering our site.
CONCEPT
EXTERNAL EXPERIENCES
1. The PLAY OF HEIGHTS for the buildings lined right next to the MDR will help us to break the boring feel of a continuous structure.
2.Creating an ENTRANCE CORRIDOR by using connecting structures joining two towers for plot A of the site and trying to make a connection with the nature by creating a landscaped area at one end of the corridor, such that a visitor can visually connect with the landscaped area as he enters the plot
3. Creating VISUAL CONNECTIONS within the site using built and un-built structure forms.
4. Considering CARDINAL DIRECTIONS to create shaded and more habitable interactive space i.e. placing the tallest building on southern side to cut down the south sun and get a larger shaded space.

INTERNAL EXPERIENCE
1. Creating LANDSCAPED TERRACES on different floors and in between corridors to break continuity of built structures and introducing nature in between built forms
2. Providing the better of VIEWS available from the apartments rather than the corridors.
3. EXPLORING CONNECTIVITY by breaking it on one plot of the parcel and maintaining it on the other plot.
