Vastunidhi Architects

Vastunidhi developed the master plan for AIIMS’s Second Phase in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, covering 167 acres. The project includes a 1,000-bed super-specialty hospital, a trauma center, administrative and academic buildings, labs, allied infrastructure, and residences for staff, doctors, and students. The plan involved mapping the existing site and extending arterial road connections to maintain traffic flow while adding necessary infrastructure. Residential buildings were oriented along the north-south axis to reduce heat gain, with insulated walls and recessed windows featuring sunshades to withstand the harsh sun.

Detail architectural drawings, such as floor plans, elevations, and sections, were created using AutoCAD. The precision and accuracy of the software ensured that the architectural framework was correctly translated from concept to digital form.
AutoCAD was used to create comprehensive blueprints that provided contractors with detailed construction instructions. These blueprints acted as a guide for builders, ensuring that the design intent was carried out faithfully during the construction phase.

The flexibility of SketchUp enabled quick design iterations, allowing designers to test ideas and make real-time changes to the 3D model, speeding up development. Lumion was used for real-time rendering, turning 3D models into high-quality visuals with realistic lighting, materials, and landscaping, letting clients virtually experience the project. Overall, the combination of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion ensured an efficient and thorough design process: AutoCAD provided precise 2D drafts, SketchUp added depth through 3D modelling, and Lumion brought the design to life with immersive visualizations, contributing to the project’s success.
